I have been a professional photographer for over 35 years initially with the Sydney Morning Herald where I was employed for 24 years for the majority of that time as their full time Sports Photographer covering major International events both in Australia and Overseas including Olympics, Commonwealth Games, Rugby World Cups, and World Swimming Championships plus endless other events. In 2008 I left the Herald to pursue a freelance career. During my career so far I have won around 40 International Awards, including 5 World Press Awards, and over 80 National awards for my photography. In 2007 I had the honour of being invited to be on the  judging panel for the World Press Photo Awards held in Amsterdam. In 2008 I produced a book called SURFCLUB, images from which have won a number of International awards including 2 World Press Photo Awards,
Pictures of the Year (USA), I.O.C. Lequipe World sports photo contest (Europe), with the book itself being awarded 2nd place in the Pictures of the Year (USA). Below is a selection of images taken so far.
